Norwich School pupil and YNSA athlete Monica Raviraj (L5V) has been selected to play for the Great Britain U14 Girls Tennis Team against France next month.
Monica was one of 6 players to be selected after being invited to the British National Tennis Camp as one of the top 12 girls in the country. She is delighted with her selection, "I have been trying very hard over the years and finally got the breakthrough. It’s my dream come true. Definitely it will boost my confidence in the coming tournaments."
Monica's recent European tournaments success in singles and doubles at Iceland increased her confidence and boosted her European ranking. She is currently 398 in Europe but highest was 368 for girls U14 group.
On November 24th Monica will be travelling to USA along with other national players, where she will play in the Eddie Herr International Junior Championships and the 54th Annual Junior Orange Bowl International Tennis Championship.
Congratulations and good luck in the forthcoming tournaments.
