I had a super weekend away with the horses. The British Equestrian Federations Excel Talent Programme Camp at Solihull, Birmingham, was super again. Got a lot to work on following my one to one sessions including: Physiotherapy, Strength and Conditioning, Diet and Psychology. I am looking forward to starting my S&C programme this week with Mr Cook. I also benefited from the evening lectures including using Social Media, Equine Nutrition, Training techniques and rider Nutrition. The ridden lessons were also very educational.
Unfortunately, due to the heavy snowfall Saturday night in Milton Keynes, the competition was cancelled on Sunday at Bury Farm, including the World Class Under 23s qualifier. This was a disappointment, however after stabling on Saturday night, we used the opportunity to jump round the course from the Grand Prix the following morning. It was also a pleasure to watch the World Number One, Scott Brash, win the Grand Prix in fine style on Saturday evening.
