Laura-Rose Cooke travelled to Leverkusen in Germany as part of Team England to compete in the prestigious 42nd Leverkusen Cup on October 21 2017. They competed against three teams from Germany and Holland, Italy, South Africa and Slovenia. In the team competition England narrowly missed out on first place. However, in the all around competition, Laura-Rose Cooke had a fantastic competition to win the All Around title and is the first English gymnast to win this competition since it began in 1976. Laura-Rose's Coach Sara-Jane Inglis from the Norfolk Academy of Gymnastics said “Laura made the absolute most of the opportunity she was given and is a credit to this sport and a genuine role model”. Others commented saying “You know you’ve made it when they start handing you flowers with your medal”.
What an amazing achievement at International level for Laura-Rose .

I admire boxer Anthony Johnson and basketballer Steph Curry. They both demonstrate passion, dedication, extreme work ethic and never give up. In football, my current hero is Manchester City’s Goalkeeper Edersen. His kicking and distribution are taking the position to a new level.
